Harlequins have confirmed that hooker Rob Buchanan has re-signed for the Club.
Confirming the news, Harlequins Director of Rugby, John Kingston, said: “I am delighted that Rob has chosen to extend his contract. He is one of the many who have committed long term to Harlequins and it is really pleasing.
“Rob has made significant strides this season in nailing down the starting hooker position.
“His love of the Club is there for all to see and he will play a significant role in the quest for more silverware over the coming years."
The Harlequins Academy graduate has made 116 appearances for the Club since making his debut against Leicester Tigers in 2010 and he has scored ten tries.
Having represented England at all age-grade levels, the hooker was called into the 2013 England team to tour Argentina. A year later, he was named in the England squad to play the Barbarians at Twickenham Stadium.
Cementing his place as a first-team squad member, the 25-year-old has made 28 appearances during the current season, scoring three tries.
“I am really happy to have re-signed with Harlequins,” Buchanan said. “I have been with this club since I was 16 and it was an easy decision to extend my time.
“To be able to work under the guidance of Adam Jones and Graham Rowntree for the coming seasons is incredibly exciting for me and I am grateful to John Kingston for the opportunity to continue my career here at Harlequins.”
