RG Snyman linked with major switch to Munster rivals Leinster

Munster World Cup winner RG Snyman is set for a sensational move from Munster to Leinster.

Snyman joined Munster on a big-money contract in 2020 but suffered an ACL injury on his debut, the first of many injuries during his time in Limerick.

Despite only featuring 10 times for Munster in three years, Snyman still played a key role for South Africa as they retained the World Cup in France last month.

The province revealed last month that Snyman ‘will depart for a new playing opportunity on completion of his contract at the end of the season’.

The Irish Times is reporting that the 28-year-old will make the move to Leo Cullen’s Leinster as a replacement for Jason Jenkins.

Fellow Springbok, second row Jean Kleyn, recently signed a two-year contract extension to remain with the province.

Kleyn, who represented Ireland at the 2019 World Cup, switched to the country of his birth ahead of the latest tournament and featured in the final win over New Zealand.
