Scott-Young is alleged to have contravened Law 9.12: A player must not physically abuse anyone. Physical abuse includes, but is not limited to punching or striking with the hand or arm, during the match between the Reds and Brumbies at Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane on 24 March 2019.
Upon further review of the match footage, the Citing Commissioner deemed in his opinion the incident had met the Red Card threshold for foul play.
Scott-Young was not punished during the game but could face an even bigger ban with what looks like a knee to the head following the punch on James Slipper.
