Ranger's misconduct proceedings

New Zealand Rugby and the Blues have started misconduct proceedings against former All Blacks winger, Rene Ranger following a drinking and driving incident that took place earlier this month.
"Rene has accepted responsibility for his actions and we will work through an internal process with New Zealand Rugby now the outcome of the legal process is known," said Blues Rugby chief executive Michael Redman.
"We are disappointed in the poor choice that Rene made, especially for a player of his experience."
Ranger, who played six tests for the All Blacks in 2010 and 2013, has plead guilty to the charges and was convicted, disqualified from driving for seven months and fined $800.
