Quade Cooper highlights Japan's player pathway

Quade Cooper spoke on Kick Off's and Kick On's about his time in Japan and highlighted how Japan are looking to better their playing base to choose from specifically with bigger players on a pathway program. 

He goes on to highlight that young players from Fiji, Samoa and Tonga have the opportunity to go to Japan at school level and go through the universities in Japan.

"I think it is a really smart initiative where they make the most of the island nations that are near by so they got, I think it is 15 players each year at a high school level. 15 from Samoa, 15 from Tonga and 15 from Fiji. They go to high school and filter into the universities. By the time they have finished their 5 years, 2 years of high shool, 3 years of university, they finish with a degree, they finish being able to speak Japanese and they are classed as a Japanese local."
