A sensational game in Bloemfontein comes to an end with nothing separating the two sides. The game burst into life inside the first two minutes of the game as Gerhard Olivier went over the line from a brilliant lineout move by the Cheetahs. Ulster responded almost immediately through David Shannahan. Tian Schoeman gave the lead back to the Cheetahs before David Shanahan got his second of the evening. Maxwane set up a wonderful try for the Cheetahs that was finished off by William-Small Smith as the Cheetahs took a three-point lead into the break. Billy Burns levelled the scores 5 minutes into the break before Alan O'Connor was yellow carded for a number of infringements. Joseph Dweba put the Cheetahs back in the lead at the back of a strong maul but Burns reduced the lead straight after the next kick off. Jacques du Toit scored another try from the maul after the hour mark. Replacement halfback Jonny Stewart closed the gap to 4 points heading into the final 10 minutes of the game. Ulster were awarded a penalty 7 minutes from the final whistle with the Cheetahs going down to 14-men at the same time. Sibahle Maxwane scored a sensational try to put the Cheetahs ahead before Louis Fouche converted a massive penalty extend the lead to 7 points. Henry Speight then scored his first Ulster try with Burns converting the conversion to ensure that Ulster maintain their unbeaten start to the 2018/19 season.
