PRO 14 Highlights: Zebre Rugby Vs Benetton Rugby
- 1200
A season double over Benetton for Zebre for the first time since the 2014/15 season. A slow start to the game saw the two sides trade penalties with Benetton leading 6-3 just before halftime. However, Zebre would have the final say of the half as Michelangelo Biondelli stepped his way over the line after a neat inside ball from Carlo Canna. Zebre took the 8-6 lead into the break. Filippo Alongi went to the sin bin after a number of penalties against Benetton and Canna extended Zebre's lead to 11-6. Zebre made the most of their man advantage as Maxime Mbanda crashed over the line in the 53rd minute. Johan Meyer went to the sin bin for a no arms tackle and this time it was Benetton's turn to make the most of it with Gianmarco Lucchesi stretched out to score just after the hour mark. Michele Lamaro's try and Garbisi's conversion gave the visitor's the lead with 14 minutes to play but their ill-discipline cost them as Antonio Rizzi knocked over two penalties to seal the victory.
