Bristol looked like a different outfit than the previous 6 Premiership rounds showing power in attack and a strong set piece to work off.
Exeter found themselves out of the game for large periods but responded in the manner of title contenders to steal it at the death with a well set rolling maul to yield a penalty try. Charles Piautau brought his usual attacking game which the rest of the Bristol backline fed off looking really potent and caused the visitors plenty of problems.
Exeter were stronger up front with their big ball carriers and forwards generating the majority of their points. FT Bristo Bears 29 Exeter Chiefs 31.
