England's biggest clubs are at odds following the news that a £275 million deal has been tabled from a private equity firm to buy Premiership Rugby according to The Times.
According to the report, a number of owners were in favour of the offer but Bath's owner Bruce Craig is not and could derail the deal.
Most of the other club owners view the deal as an opportunity to settle future growth and financial stability.
The 12 owners are set to meet next Tuesday to discuss the deal were they are likely to vote on the deal. A unanimous vote is required for a such a change in the sharing holdings under the Premier Rugby Ltd terms.
Saracens owner, Nigel Wray, was quick to back the back deal but Bruce Craig believes that the Premiership Rugby brand has been undervalued.
Craig is not the only person not convinced about the deal with Eddie Jones saying the deal could affect his access to the players.
"We can't get them any less' he said. "If we get them any less, we won't see them at all. If you look at Australia, New Zealand and South Africa, at the start of the Rugby Championship they got four-week camp. If they want to give to us any less, then I'll be out of a job."
