Ollie Lawrence's ridicoulous stats against Saracens
- 1499
Bath fell to a 37-31 defeat at the hands of Saracens at Stone X Stadium on Saturday with Ollie Lawrence producing a strong performance for his new side.
Lawrence joined Bath on a loan deal after Worcester Warriors went into administration and while he is yet to taste victory with Bath, he enjoyed a fine outing against Saracens.
The 23-year-old enjoyed success on attack gaining 254 running metres from his nine carries, meaning he averaged 28.23 metres per carry.
While he made just one clean break, he proved to be a real handful for the Saracens' defence beating eleven defenders.
His attacking brilliance wasn't wasted as he managed to assist two of Bath's three tries.
Lawrence was Bath's best attacking weapon as, without his 254 running metres, the rest of the Bath 23 gained 376 running and beat 17 defenders collectively.
Max Malins racked up the next-best metre tally gaining 92 in total, 162 less than Lawrence.
While it wasn't to be for Bath as they produced arguably their best performance under Johann van Graan earning a losing bonus point (their sixth of the season) against one of the Premiership's favourites.
