Nick Frost commits long-term to Brumbies, Australian Rugby
- 1945
Rugby Australia and the Brumbies have announced Nick Frost has re-committed his future to Australian Rugby until the end of 2025.
The promising young lock had strong interest from overseas but he has chosen to continue his development in Australia and push for a Test debut with the Wallabies.
A product of the Australian Rugby pathways, Frost was in the 2017 Australian Schoolboys side and was also a member of the 2019 Junior Wallabies that fell just short in the U20 World Championship Final against France in Argentina.
It was in the same tournament that the 206cm second rower went viral after outpacing a number of Ireland's outside backs to score a remarkable 60-metre solo try.
Known for his athleticism and skill, Frost has continued to develop his set-piece at the Brumbies since joining the Canberra-based franchise in 2019.
He was also a part of the Brumbies 2020 Super Rugby AU triumph, named on the bench in the final against the Queensland Reds, in what was his first professional season.
His strong form has also seen him rewarded at a national level, selected in Dave Rennie's wider Wallabies squads in both 2021 and 2022.
The 22-year-old is the third player, alongside Brumbies teammates Ryan and Lachlan Lonergan, to re-sign with Australian Rugby through to the 2025 British and Irish Lions tour.
He is also one of 16 national talents who have re-committed this year to Australian Rugby until at least the 2023 Rugby World Cup in France.
