MUST-SEE: Rieko Ioane's match winning tackle secures historic win for Blues
- 3187
Before Friday, The Blues had not beaten the Crusaders in Christchurch since Carlos Spencer inspired the Blues back in 2004.
This changed on Good Friday with the Blues securing a historic 27-23 victory over the Crusaders.
With five minutes left on the clock, the Crusaders had a five-metre scrum inside the Blues' 22 and a try looked inevitable as reserve lock Dominic Gardiner charged down the right touchline.
However, an incredible covering tackle from Rieko Ioane with some help from Dalton Papalii sent the Crusader into touch.

The Blues managed to shut Scott Robertson's charges out from here to seal the victory.
