Benetton have announced that Monty Ioane has signed a new two-year deal with the club.
The Melbourne-born flyer has scored 9 tries in 10 appearances since signing with the side from the Bay of Plenty Steelers.
"I'm really happy to have extended my contract with Benetton Rugby for the next two seasons, it is definitely a great opportunity for me and for my family. I am proud and excited to give my contribution to the improvement of the club in the coming years. I also thank Cofiloc Spa for the great contribution he has made and continues to make important so that I can wear this shirt " Ioane said
Ioane helped the Steelers to the Mitre 10 Cup championship final before joining Benneton late last year, having started his career at the age of 16 in Brisbane for Queensland Reds academy before he moved to Stade Francais along with his uncle Digby Ioane.
In the summer of 2015 he was named in the Chiefs Super Rugby squad and represented the Tasman Mako before joining Bay of Plenty in 2016.
