Jantjies out of Springbok running due to injury
Elton Jantjies has been ruled out for three to four weeks after fracturing a finger against the Jaguares on Saturday.
The flyhalf will undergo an operation on Tuesday that will rule him out of the Lions' next two matches against the Bulls and Sharks.
He is also likely to miss the first two Tests of the series against Ireland, with Pat Lambie now expected to wear the No 10 jersey.
Sefa re-signs with Rebels
The Melbourne Rebels have retained another star with key player Sefanaia Naivalu re-signing with the club until the end of 2019.
Naivalu, affectionately known as Super Sefa, has scored six tries in 19 appearances for the Rebels since his Super Rugby debut against the Crusaders in the opening round last year.
The 24-year-old was recognised for his standout maiden season, in which he scored four tries in 13 games, when he was honoured with the Rugby Union Players’ Association Newcomer of the Year and Rebels Rookie of the Year awards.
Saxons squad and coaches announced for S.A tour
The squad for England Saxons’ tour to South Africa in June has been announced together with its coaching staff.
The 27-man squad to play two tests against South Africa A, will be coached by Exeter Chiefs assistant coach Ali Hepher, assisted by Alan Dickens (Northampton Saints) and Andy Titterrell (Wasps).
