Marx bids farewell to Lions

It appears that Malcolm Marx and the Lions will be parting ways. This comes after the South African rugby board published its industry salary plan in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Marx has cancelled his current contract with immediate effect and looks set to return to Japan where, reports indicate, he will sign with Kubota Spears.
In addition to Marx, a total of four other players will also say their goodbyes to the Lions, namely; Ruan Vermaak, Tyrone Green , Shaun Reynolds and Neil de Bruin.
Lions CEO, Rudolf Straeuli said:
“There is always a big sense of loss and sadness when we lose family members. We wish them well on their journey ahead and thank them for some very special times spent with the Lions.”
