While coaching at the Jaguares in 2018, now Los Pumas head coach Mario Ledesma placed a lot of his trust in youngsters with a number of players putting their hands up as the Jaguares recorded their best season in Super Rugby.
Now heading the test Ledesma has handed a few youngsters their opportunity after impressing with the Super Rugby side with reports suggesting that he will leave the likes of Ben Urdapilleta, Marcelo Bosch and Juan Imhoff out his squad for the World Cup in Japan.
Argentina has relaxed its selection policy in 2019, allowing Ledesma to select any overseas-based players in the World Cup year.
Ledesma promoting youth mixed with a few key players returning to the squad for 2019, could prove to be successful and Ledesma doesn't have to look too far from home to see proof of that.
With the Jaguares trailing the Bulls 20-10 in final moments of the clash at Loftus Super Rugby debutant Domingo Miotti entered the traditionally hostile environment in Pretoria to make his Super Rugby debut.
The young flyhalf scored a try moments after entering the fray and doubled up soon after to seal a remarkable comeback for the Jaguares.

He also converted a clutch conversion after the first try.
With Los Pumas lacking sufficient depth at flyhalf after Nicholas Sanchez could Ledesma take a gamble in selecting Domingo Miotti or will he more pragmatic in his approach by selecting the more experienced Santiago Gonzalez Iglesias or Ben Urdapilleta?
