Toulon have confirmed that their star centre Malakai Fekitoa will be sidelined for 6 weeks with a knee injury following the club's Champions Cup defeat to Montpellier in December.
The 26-year-old, who has scored 8 tries in 30 games since joining the former French and European champions in 2017, has since undergone surgery.
Meanwhile, Toulon also confirmed that their lock and vice-captain Swan Rebbadj will also be sidelined for a month and a half with an ankle injury.
The French club sits in 10th place in the table, and are yet to win away from home in the league or in the Champions Cup this season.
The outfit will face Edinburgh in the Champions Cup on Saturday before taking on Newcastle Falcons in their final pool match in Newcastle on Friday, January 18.
