Leroy Houston signs with Bordeaux-Bègles

Top 14 side Bordeaux-Begles have announced the signing of Reds back-row Leroy Houston on a two-year deal.

Houston, 30, heads to France after the Reds surprisingly announced that he would not be at the side for the 2nd-year of his contract, citing personal reasons.

Having returned to Australia to try and represent the Wallabies after three excellent years with Bath in the Premiership, Houston won his one and only Test cap against Argentina last October.

Houston is a standout signing for UBB whose recruitment has not been as high-profile ahead of next season as in years past, with Bulls fly-half Tian Schoeman and Grenoble forward Mahamadou Diaby other notable additions.
