Following months of speculation linking Leone Nakarawa with a move away from Paris the 44 Test cap, Fijian International lock has confirmed his future by signing a new three-year deal with Racing 92.
The Fijian powerhouse was in scintillating form during the 2017/18 season. He featured in 23 of Racings' 27 Top 14 matches and all 9 of their Champions Cup matches scoring 4 tries in both competitions.
His form in the Champions Cup saw him being named as the EPCR Player of the Season.
Nakarawa made more offloads (76) and carries (291) than any other player during the Top 14 season.
He almost replicated that feat in the Champions Cup with CJ Stander making just two carries more than the 30-year-old.
Nakarawa is not the first player to commit his future to the club ahead of the 2018/19 season with Virimi Vakatawa (2021), Joe Rokocoko (2019), Juan Imhoff (2022), Cedate Gomes SA (2021) and Henry Chavancy (2022) all signing new deals with the club.
