Karen Paquin is one of four survivors from Canada's last Rugby World Cup outing against England in the 2014 final who will face the Red Roses again in the 2021 semi-finals at Eden Park on 5 November.

• That comes on the bench where Sara Svoboda replaces Pamphinette Buisa as Canada again opt for a seven-one split between forwards and backs with Anais Holly the only backline cover
• Canada have won their last eight tests, their longest ever winning run in history. Their only defeat in 2022 came at the hands of New Zealand in the Pacific Four Series
• This is a repeat of the 2014 final when England ran out 21-9 winners in Paris
• There are four survivors from that squad in Canada’s team for this semi-final in Karen Paquin, Elissa Alarie, Olivia DeMerchant and Tyson Beukeboom, although Alarie played scrum-half that day in Paris rather than her current role at full-back
• That was their second meeting at RWC 2014, having played out a 13-13 draw in their final pool match to ensure both teams progressed to the semi-finals, Canada as the best runners-up across the three pools
• Canada are the only one of the semi-finalists who haven't yet played at Eden Park with France, England and New Zealand all doing so on the opening day on 8 October
• This is their eighth meeting on the RWC stage with England unbeaten in the previous seven, including two at the semi-final stage – 53-10 in 2002 and 20-14 in 2006
• Canada have lost their last eight matches with England, having not tasted victory since a 52-17 win on neutral soil in July 2016. One match in this run did take place on New Zealand soil, England’s 27-20 win in Christchurch in June 2017
