Japan Rugby League One: Round 1 wrap-up

Round 1 of the Japanese League One kicked off this weekend and saw victory for Kubota Spears, Shining Arcs, Eagles, Sungoliath and the Black Rams. 

The Kubota Spears and Green Rockets top Conference A while the Black Rams and Sungoliath lead Conference B. 

The Spears vs Wild Knights fixture was called off due to a presence of Covid-19 in the latter's camp which subsequently meant that the former were awarded 5 points.

A nail-biter saw the Shining Arcs take a one-point victory over the Kobe Steelers:

The Eagles enjoyed a convincing 33-12 win over the Green Rockets.

A high-scoring game saw Sungoliath down Brave Lupus:

The Black Rams were too strong for the Red Hurricanes, emerging 43-22 victors.
