Jaco Kriel suffers another injury setback

The Lions Rugby Co. has announced that due to unforeseen circumstances the operation that Jaco Kriel underwent on his shoulder was unsuccessful and needs to be repeated on Thursday 8 March 2018.

Kriel has yet to feature for the Lions during the 2018 Super Rugby season and has been out of action for both club and country since the  Springboks 2017 Rugby Championship clash against Australia in September.

The lively flanker played a major role for the Lions during their run to the Super Rugby final in 2017 as he played in 14 of their 18 matches - including the final. He was also the captain in the absences of Warren Whiteley.
