Ireland v Australia: The last time they met

Ireland ended their year on a high with a hard fought 13-10 win over Australia in the Autumn Nations Series on the 19th of Novemeber 2022.

Ireland kicked a penalty nine minutes in, with the Wallabies missing a shot at goal midway through the first half. No further points would be added in the opening forty, with Ireland holding a 3-0 lead at the break. Australia would start the second half with 14 players after picking up a yellow card just before halftime. The Wallabies got on the board with a penalty after 55 minutes to level matters at three apiece. Ireland then crossed for the first try of the match 66 minutes in, but Australia hit back with a score with ten minutes remaining to draw level again at ten all. Ireland got their noses in front with a penalty after 76 minutes and managed to close out the remaining time for a three point victory.
