Highlights: Lions vs Western Province

A strong finish by the Lions sees them secure a hard fought 29-20 home win over Western Province in round 13 of the Currie Cup. Western Province ran in two first half tries to one to take a 17-10 lead into the break. An early second half penalty for Western Province made it a ten point ball game, but the Lions responded soon after with a try to cut the deficit to just three points at 20-17. The Lions finished the match the better of the two sides, as they crossed for two tries in the final 10 minutes to seal the victory which moves them up to 4th positon in the standings.
