Ulster ground out a 20-10 away win over rivals Leinster in round 6 of the United Rugby Championship. Ulster started strongly, but missed the first chance at points, as their penalty attempt 11 minutes in went wide. Ulster did however open the scoring with a try after 16 minutes to lead 7-0.
Ulster had a chance to extend their lead heading into the break, but their shot at goal with the final play of the first half was off target. Ulster did add a penalty seven minutes into the second half to make it 10-0. Leinster hit back shortly after with their first try to reduce the deficit to 10-7 with around half an hour remaining.
The sides were level after 64 minutes as a Leinster penalty made it ten apiece, but parity did not last long, as an Ulster shot at goal just three minutes later restored their lead. Ulster sealed the match with an intercept try with around two minutes to play, as they brought an end to Leinster's unbeaten start to the United Rugby Championship.
