One of the greatest Wallabies of all time, George Gregan played with and against over his illustrious 13 year-long test career.
Love him or loathe the man with the backchat and bravado, George Gregan certainly earned his place as one of the modern greats of the game. He represented the Wallabies in 139 test matches winning the Rugby World Cup in 1999 as well as winning two Tri Nations and Six Bledisloe Cups.
The World Rugby Hall of Famer is now working as a commentator at Fox Sports Australia and was asked to name his all time World XV of players he has played with and against during his career.
Interestingly, Gregan did not select All Black great Jonah Lomu on the wing while also snubbing the late Joost van der Westhuizen from South Africa.
The former halfback selected just three players from the Northern Hemisphere with two featuring in the backline with Rob Howley at scrum-half and Brian O'Driscoll at outside centre while Martin Johnson in the pack.
His largely Southern Hemisphere based side features 4 of his fellow countryman, 5 New Zealanders, one Argentine and two South African.
Two time World Cup winner Os du Randt joins Olo Brown and Agustin Creevy in a gnarly front row with World Cup-winning captains John Eales and Martin Johnson in the second row.
A Tri-Nations back row features Springbok Schalk Burger and Zinzan Brooke with Gregan preferring George Smith over former All Black captain Richie McCaw. Dan Carter partners up with former Wales scrumhalf Rob Howley with Tim Horan and Brian O'Driscoll in the centres.
Gregan has selected an incredible back three with ' The Paekakariki Express' Christian Cullen at fullback with Wallaby Joe Roff and All Black Ben Smith on the wings.
