The Western Force will add to their second row depth with the signing of Reds lock Ben Matwijow on a one year deal.
The 26-year-old lock joined the Queensland Reds this season as injury cover for Wallaby Kane Douglas after winning the ITM Cup with Canterbury and went on to earn 11 caps in his debut season including five appearances in the starting side.
“I’m really excited to be coming to the Force,” he said. “And I’m looking forward to getting back over there and helping the club move in the right direction.”
Matwijow will ply his trade for Taranaki in New Zealand’s ITM Cup before making the journey west to link up with Force.
