European Champions Cup Highlights: Wasps Vs Zebre Rugby
- 1642
Wasps ran out 82-14 winners today at The Ricoh Arena. They got off to a flying start scoring two tires in the first ten minutes. Zebre then had a man sent to the sin bin which led to Wasps notching another try before the 15 minute mark. Zebre manages to score two tries of their own through substitute Federico Ruzza, but for a majority of this game they were put under huge pressure by a relentless Wasps outfit. The men in yellow and black ran in 12 tries in total and they were an absolute pleasure to watch as they executed their exciting and fast paced brand of rugby. Danny Cipriani put in a man of the match performance at out-half for Wasps setting up several tries and recording 6/7 successful kicks from the tee and thoroughly deserving the accolade. Perhaps most impressive was Cipriani's ability to completely control and dictate the pace of the entire game. All in all, it was an excellent performance from Wasps and will give them confidence going forward, on the other hand it's one for Zebre to forget as they move forward both in Europe and in the PRO12.
