As a Welshman and indeed a fan of the British and Irish Lions who has raised a glass in Warren Gatland’s name enough times to risk RSI, my admiration for the Kiwi coach knows few bounds.
But even I have to admit he has a flaming cheek in “supporting” Stuart Lancaster if he does not pick Steffon Armitage and Nick Abendanon for the World Cup.
