Matt Fagerson Signs Professional Deal

Glasgow Warriors have handed 19-year-old Matt Fagerson a professional contract ahead of tomorrow's game against Benetton Rugby.

Younger brother of Scotland international Zander, Matt can play across the backrow and has already played for Glasgow at six, seven and eight.

"Matt has the potential to be a very good player," said Glasgow Warriors Assistant Coach Jonathan Humphreys.

"He's been inovled in nearly every game at the beginning of this season and really impressed us and we've rewarded those performances with a contract.

"He could be exceptional and for him it's about hard work from here on in."

A product of the Scottish Rugby Academy, Fagerson has played twelve times for the Warriors to date, scoring his first try for the club in last season’s victory over Zebre.
