David Lemi will depart Bristol Rugby at the end of the season, having made 139 appearances.
The 36 year-old has played a key supporting role during the 2017/18 season, making eight appearances and scoring five tries, including an impressive hat-trick at Mennaye Field.
“David [Lemi] is a fine example of what young players can achieve through perseverance and professionalism. He is a true leader and an iconic figure for Bristol Rugby supporters for his efforts on and off the field,” said head coach Pat Lam.
“During my time with the club so far, David has been a positive influence on the younger players and everybody involved with Bristol looks up to him and holds him in high regard.
“David departs with our deepest appreciation for what he has achieved; a former skipper of the club, the record try scorer and a fantastic ambassador for the sport. We wish him every success going forward.”
