Dan Cole Wants England To Pick It Up

England prop Dan Cole has called on the side to make a statement when they face Ireland this Saturday.

England were well beaten when the two sides met in the Six Nations and are coming off a loss to France in Paris in their most recent warm-up match.

Ireland's loss to Wales gives this weekend's fixture an extra edge as both look to go into the Rugby World Cup on the back of a victory.

"Ireland are in a similar boat to us," he told England Rugby.

"They are coming off the back of a defeat [to Wales] and they want to set the record straight.

"We want an 80-minute performance to tee us up for the tournament. France is done and dusted and it’s time to make a statement, I guess."
