Connacht to sign Tongan international Leva Fifita

Connacht Rugby are set to sign Tongan International Leva Fifita according to Reports in French media.

Fifita had been offered a two-year contract extension by Grenoble but it’s suggested he activated the departure clause on Thursday.

The lock is set to l join Connacht, where he will meet up with his Grenoble coach Dewald Senekal who was announced as the new forwards coach at Connacht next season.

The 19 test international arrived in France from New Zealand club Waikato in 2017 and has since played 65 matches, and scored 40 points scored for Grenoble.

The older brother of All Black lock Vaea Fifita, Leva represented Tonga at the Rugby World Cup in Japan.
