Clermont Season Review

Clermont have built on a solid 2015/16 season, despite being 1 log position lower than they were last season. They currently sitting in 2nd place and could cement a semi-final spot when they face 1st placed La Rochelle.

The fans will also see their side face Saracens in the Champions Cup final and will be hopeful that they can lift to major trophies this season.

They finished last season's regular season at the top of the log but with the added pressure of a successful Champions Cup campaign, resulting in a slight drop in their Top 14 dominance. 

David Strettle has been impressive for Clermont scoring 11 tries from 14 appearances, while Morgan Parra top scoring for the club with his 139 points.

Clermont will be hoping to get the better of La Rochelle as a victory won't only secure them a semi-final spot but will also mean that they will have one less game to play in what will be a testing finish to the season.
