Clermont announce the capture of Peter Betham

Clermont have secured the signing of Wallaby winger Peter Betham ahead of the 2017/18 Top 14 season.

Betham joins the French club from Leicester Tigers before the start of next season and has signed a two-year deal with the French side.

Arriving here, I hope to integrate quickly and achieve to bring the best to this team who will have the ambition to go for titles in France and also in the European Cup.

I know well John Ulugia, or Brock James who was there recently and other boys, they all told me some great things about the club and when I was contacted by Clermont, the decision to come was not Very difficult to take. I also know that the public here in Auvergne is exceptional. It is a reference in Europe and I really look forward to seeing Michelin as soon as possible. "    

Betham made 46 appearances for Leicester Tigers and started all 13 Premiership fixtures in 2016/17.
