The Newcastle Falcons will swoop into Sandy Park on Sunday with back-to-back victories under the belt when they take on the Exeter Chiefs.
The Falcons put in a ballsy performance in Round 19 to put down Northampton Saints 18-10.
Exeter put London Irish to the sword 31-12 at the Brentford Community Stadium in Round 19 – a victory which saw the former move up into second place on the log.
Exeter currently have done enough for a semi-final berth, although they will not be wanting to take any chances as Sale are only behind them by four points. Newcastle can, therefore, expect no quarter from their opponents as the tournament approaches its final stages.
Newcastle are still in contention to gain entrance into next season’s Challenge Cup should they finish in the top 8. at present, they are in 10th spot, but only three points behind Wasps and Bath. Rest assured, the Kingston Park will be fighting hard for that coveted 8th spot.
While Exeter tasted victory the last time these teams locked horns, it was not by much – Rob Baxter’s men walking away with a 6-point victory.
