Cheetahs' forwards coach Corniel van Zyl is set to leave Bloemfontein to begin a new chapter with London Irish as Declan Kidney’s assistant coach.
Van spent a significant portion of his playing days in Italy where he turned out for Treviso over 150 times in eight years, while also qualifying for and winning eight caps for the Italian national side.
“I’m really pleased to be here and excited about getting to work with this talented group of players and staff,” the 41 year-old said.
London Irish are pleased to confirm the appointment of Corniel van Zyl, with the South African arriving as Assistant Coach in Declan Kidney's coaching set-up.
