Champions Cup XV of the weekend

Champions Cup XV of the weekend
As the opening weekend of the Champions Cup draws to a close we choose our team of the weekend.

1. Jack McGrath

On his 100th appearance in the Leinster shirt scrummaged well and got a try to top it all off.

2. Sean Cronin

Great at the set piece and even bagged 2 tries in Leinster's BP win over Castres.

3. Davit Zirakashvili

Dominated the Chiefs pack at the set piece, great powerful performance.

4. Jandre Marias

A real captains performance from Marais who led from the front in Bordeaux's win over Ulster.

5. George Kruis

Outstanding again for Saracens, made 12 tackles and won 8 line outs in their win over Toulon.

6. Julien Bardy

Portuguese international Bardy was a powerful unit defensively and in attack, grabbing a try in the process.

7. Josh Van Der Flier

Deserved MOTM as he makes our TOTW for a second week in a row. Made 9 tackles for Leinster in a strong defensive performance.

8. Louis Picamoles

Powerful performance from the Frenchman who makes our TOTW for a second week in a row like Van Der Flier. Too much for Montpellier going forward, such a great ball carrier.

9. Morgan Parra

Controlled the game excellently at 9 and was 100% off the tee.

10. Danny Cipriani

Subbed off early but was outstanding in the playmaker role for Wasps in their thumping of Zebre. Owen Farrell unlucky to miss out.

11. Leonardo Sarto

2 tries in Glasgow demolition of Leicester on Friday night. Was a constant threat throughout.

12. Wesley Fofana

Sensational in Clermont's win over Chiefs. Scored 2 and was too hot to handle.

13. Bundee Aki

Got the winner in a tight game with Toulouse. Made 17 carries and was a unit going forward, making 75 metres.

14. DTH Van Der Merwe

Showed great finishing ability in Scarlets win over Sale on Saturday night.

15. Jean Marcellin Buttin

Great performance from the back in Bordeaux's BP win over Ulster, troubling Ulster's defence all day with 2 great breaks.
