Champions Cup Highlights: Leicester vs Racing 92
- 1688
Racing flew out of the blocks and converted tries from Henry Chavancy and Maxime Machenaud gave the visitors a 14-0 lead inside 12 minutes. Leicester responded however and managed to put Racing under plenty of pressure. George Ford managed to slot three penalties which brought the scoreline to 9-14 at the interval. The hosts started the second half with plenty of intent and Brendon O' Connor's try from a powerful driving maul brought the sides level on the 44-minute mark. The game then turned into a ''sea-saw'' battle with kickers Ford and Machenaud taking each other on in a game of place kicking. Machenaud managed to slot one more than Ford which gave his side a 20-23 win, despite Leicester's late efforts to win the game.
