Gloucester vs Saracens:
Saracens were too much for the Cherry & Whites to handle as Mark McCall’s men powered to a 44-15 victory at Kingsholm.
Mark McCall’s men looked unthreatened as they cruised over the try line five times and slotted three penalties to build a formidable score.
Saracens thus book their place in the semis where they will meet the might of Toulon.
Toulon vs London Irish:
The Exiles’ discipline let them down as Toulon slipped past them by a single point to snatch a 19-18 victory at Stade Mayol.
London Irish out-scored their rivals by two tries to one but former were able to capitalise on penalties – putting a total of four through the sticks for 12 points.
The French outfit will now face Toulon in the semis and will be grateful for the home-ground advantage.
Edinburgh vs Wasps:
A great contest saw Wasps advance to the semis after putting Edinburgh away 34-30 at the DAM Health Stadium.
The occasion brought the best out of the two sides as Wasps managed to run in four tries to Edinburgh’s three.
The lead changed hands several times as Wasps responded aggressively every time Edinburgh found themselves ahead on the scoreboard.
Wasps will now travel to France where they will face Lyon at Stade de Gerland.
Lyon vs Glasgow:
Lyon winger Davit Niniashvili picked up a brace of tries as Lyon crashed into the semi-finals after putting Glasgow away 35-27.
Lyon crossed the whitewash four times and slotted three penalties.
It was a marvellous fight-back by the French outfit who found themselves 14 points down at one stage before giving Glasgow a bloody nose in the second half.
