Young Welsh front rowers Ethan Lewis and Dillion Lewis have both extended their current contracts at Cardiff Blues.
Head coach, Danny Wilson, will take comfort in knowing he will be able to call upon the duo, who have represented Wales under 20, in the future.
Wilson commented on the two saying:
“It’s great to retain Dillon and Ethan, who are a key part of the Cardiff Blues pack moving forward.
“Dillon is a very good scrummaging prop, with a good all-round game and has achieved a lot of success at age-grade level.
“He has been unfortunate with injuries this season but has a big future in front of him if he continues to work hard and progress.
“Ethan’s another player we have high hopes for. He has also been unfortunate with injuries so far this season but is back fit and gives us plenty of strength in depth at hooker."
Tight-head Lewis, made his regional debut in the LV=Cup in 2015 on the back of stellar Under-20 Wales performances. He is also considered to be one of the country's best young props and has appeared 18 times so far for Cardiff
Lewis said: “I’m extremely happy to have signed for Cardiff Blues - having come through the development pathway here it was my dream and goal to sign my first senior contract with the region.
“There is so much experience in the front row and it’s great to learn and train with those guys, and be able to pick their brains.
“It’s been a frustrating season for me with the injuries but I’m just looking forward to getting fit and the future with Cardiff Blues.”
Hooker Lewis is a product of Cardiff's academy made his senior debut in 2015, as well and went on to represent Cardiff 14 times last season and has recently returned from a shoulder surgery.
He added: “It was an easy decision and a no brainer when they offered me the new deal. I’m back and looking to get some game-time now.
“I’ve come through the system here and it’s a great environment to improve. There’s a lot of competition here and that’s only going to help me.
“It’s nice to have guys like Matthew Rees around for me to learn from. He’s player I grew up watching so it’s good to pick up tips from him and the experience he has.”
