Cardiff Blues v Benetton Treviso: Round 15 Pro12 Highlights
- 1070
Full-time here at the Cardiff Arms Park and it is the Blues who run away with the victory by a comfortable 32-point margin. It was a shaky opening 40 minutes from the hosts to say the least, as they really failed to capitalise on territory, allowing Treviso to stay in the game. And the visitors made them pay, thanks to a McKinley try just before half-time. Whilst managing to get a try on the stroke of half-time, going in at the break in the lead, it was the second half performance that really distanced the teams. Cardiff were a new team after the break, and four tries inside the first 15 minutes of the second half was enough to seal the game off. Treviso were resilient and thereby rewarded with a try in the final quarter, but in the end, the Blues were just too strong. Notable performances included that of Alex Cuthbert, who was instrumental in setting up previous tries, but was duly rewarded with one of his own in the last play of the game.
