Burgess to captain England in Australia

Phil Burgess will captain the England Sevens team in the first leg of the 2015-16 IRB World Sevens Series on the Gold Coast.



Burgess will head up a team including three World Series debutants - Charlie Hayter, Alex Davis and Tom Bowen.

The matches will be played over the weekend of October 11-12 and Simon Amor is hoping his team make a good start to the new season.



"We have a good balance in the squad: we have strength and pace, and some exciting playmakers pulling the strings so we're in a good place," Amor said.
