Bristol wary of the Cherry & Whites
- 1836
Log-leading Bristol Bears will take the field at the Ashton Gate with a healthy amount of wariness when they face Gloucester this evening.
The Cherry & Whites pulled the proverbial rabbit out of the hat in Round 18 when they defeated the Northampton Saints 31-7 at Franklin’s Gardens in a somewhat unexpected display of dominance to record their sixth win of the campaign. 70 minutes had ticked by on the clock before Saints eventually got onto the scoreboard as George Skivington’s men looked to be in fine form.
Meanwhile, Bristol despatched Bath with a comfortable, 40-20 victory at The Rec. Bath started well before Bristol turned up the heat.
Gloucester ran Bristol very close the last time they locked horns – in Round 9 at Kingsholm. Bristol left the ground breathing a huge sigh of relief after a 18-17 final score.
