Borthwick seeks signature of former Bok conditioning coach

Highly-rated Welsh conditioning coach, Aled Walters, is reportedly on the radar of newly-appointed England boss Steve Borthwick, according to a report in the Mail.
Walters was a member of the 2019 World Cup-winning Springbok back-room staff under Rassie Erasmus at a tournament where the superior conditioning of the Boks was a major talking point.
Then, against the backdrop of the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic, Walters decided it was best for him to return to the UK to be nearer family and thus cut ties with the Boks and joined up with Leicester Tigers (with Borthwick) who went on to claim the Premiership title.
In the past, Walters has also worked with teams such as Scarlets, Taranaki, the Brumbies and Munster. Munster, incidentally, was where he first crossed paths with Erasmus, who saw fit to make him part of the Springbok set-up.
