Gloucester Rugby No.8 Ben Morgan believes his side are taking on the “best team in Europe” in Round 3 of the Heineken Champions Cup on Saturday, when the English side play host Leinster Rugby in Pool B.
The Cherry and Whites have one win and one defeat in their two games so far in this season’s competition, the defeat a 57-0 humbling to the Irish province in Round 2.
“Leinster are easily the best team in Europe,” stated Morgan. “We’re looking forward to welcoming them here.

“It’s a change up for the next fortnight going into the Heineken Champions Cup, a competition we’re excited to be in, and there’s everything to play for.”
Gloucester lie eighth in Pool A, the final qualifying slot for the knockout stages, having recorded a 22-17 home victory over Union Bordeaux-Bègles in Round 1, and Morgan believes that home comforts could be the catalyst for a strong performance this weekend.
“It’s a hard place to come – they’re going to have to be on their mettle,” warned the England international.
“We’ll have a good training week, get the detail ironed out, but again our focus is on ourselves, make sure that we get our things right and we’ll present a challenge to them.”
