Alldritt to feature for La Rochelle tonight despite being ruled out of 6 Nations start
- 1820
Yesterday (Thursday) it was announced that French number 8 Gregory Alldritt had been ruled out of France’s Round 1 Six Nations clash with Italy on the 6th of February due to injury.
Today, in a strange turn of events, the hard-running number 8 was named in the La Rochelle XV to take on Bayonne this evening in the French Top14 Round 19 opener – a development which left many bemused.
However, one source suggests that his absence from the French camp is, in fact, not due to injury:
Not an injury, he's getting an arthoscanner (MRI in English?) for his knee on Monday and the iodine solution means he'll need a few days rest afterwards and will miss the beginning of camp.

Alldritt was one of the top performers in the 2020 instalment of the Six Nations. It is reported that his place will be taken by Cameron Woki until such time as he is able to make a return.
