Rugby Club Vannes is delighted to formalize the recruitment of prop Nick Schonert for the next two seasons.
Born in Durban, South Africa, Nick Schonert (33 years old) began his career with the Sharks in the Currie Cup, before playing for the Griquas and then the Cheethas.
He left his native country in 2014 to join Europe and England, joining Worcester.
He would stay with the Warriors for seven seasons before heading to the north of England and signing with Sale Sharks.
His rich career has seen him accumulate nearly 150 Premiership matches and 20 European Cup matches.
After four seasons in Manchester, Nick Schonert has decided to give his career a new lease of life by testing himself against French rugby.
Solid in the scrum and powerful in the game, he will strengthen our pack for the next two seasons.
Nick was also an international U20 Springbok and was part of Eddie Jones's squad in the build-up to the 2019 World Cup with the England national team.
Welcome to Brittany Nick!
Nick Schonert : “I’m very excited to be joining Rugby Club Vannes. I’m so grateful to be able to play in such a passionate place. The atmosphere, the fans, the vibe at Stade de la Rabine seems incredible. I can’t wait to give my all for this jersey and achieve our goals with my teammates. ”
