Leinster flyhalf Ross Byrne will win his 100th cap for Leinster when the men in blue tackle La Rochelle in the second Champions Cup semi-final today.
The 26 year-old has been picked in place of injured stalwart Johnny Sexton. Byrne made his debut for Leinster in Leo Cullen’s first game in charge back in 2015. Since then, he has scored 612 points including 5 tries.
Turning attention to the semi-final, experienced Leinster second-row Devin Toner said:
“At this stage in Europe you just want to play the best teams. We did really well against Exeter Chiefs and La Rochelle are one of the best teams in Europe at the moment. It doesn’t matter what nationality you are in the semi-finals, the best teams are in it.”
