The second half gets off to a slow start. Both teams careless with the ball and possession shifts a number of time between them. Exeter earn a scrum at half way and get the shove on. Baxter delicately controls the ball at the base while the front row grind their way forward. The penalty comes and Steenson opts for the posts. The lead stretches to 11 points.
Coyw!!
The half ends with Chiefs on the offensive. But the visitors concede a penalty and the Warriors clear the ball into touch, signalling the end of the half. Some exciting running rugby displayed so far this afternoon. Both teams looking threatening with ball in hand. Warriors have fought hard, but haven't yet managed to break into Exeter's in-goal. Interesting second half to follow.
Again the Warriors look to be through for a try, but the referee spots a marginally forward pass and halts play. The crowd convey their disapproval..
Warriors earn a scrum deep within their half. The ball is fed to Lemi who dances around a defender and tears down the touchline. The try saving tackle comes though and the ball is lost forward. Possession is returned to the Chiefs.
Chiefs on the attack in the midfield, looking to secure a third try. But a knock-on comes and an Exeter player in front grabs the ball and is penalised accordingly. Goode attempts from the half-way but the ball just drifts wide and the Chiefs clear their lines.
Chiefs are on the attack, deep in Warrior territory. Forwards work hard, hammering against the Warriors' defences; but to no avail. The Warriors hold strong and eventually force the turnover.
Exeter pick up a second try courtesy of outhalf Gareth Steenson. Impressive handling by the Chiefs once again leads to the try. They work the ball back and forth across the field and finally find the opening. Thomas makes half a break before delivering to Steenson who finishes.
Worcester look to be in for a try, when Lemi crosses after an excellent attacking piece of play. But the referee spots a knock on and brings play back. Chiefs fling the ball out to Nowell off the back of the ensuing scrum. Nowell is tackled but tries to continue on and is penalised. Warriors opt for the posts and Goode makes no mistakes.
